Women’s Center
Working with women on the ground today inspires me; their ‘can-do’ spirit in challenging times gives me hope and fuels my commitment to be part of an amazing group that seeks to create a better future for all.
Rina Noar, Head of the Women’s Center
In Gaza today, women are holding families together under extraordinary strain. Displacement, overcrowding, loss of income, and lack of privacy have created urgent physical, emotional, and economic challenges. While they remain central to family survival, women often have the least access to consistent support.

The Women’s Center of Hope provides a dedicated space for care, dignity, and opportunity, offering continuity beyond emergency aid and supporting long-term recovery.
Vision
We envision a future where women are active leaders in building resilient communities. We believe that when women are supported in their own healing and development, families and communities become more stable and able to thrive.
Our Mission
The Women’s Center of Hope provides a safe and consistent environment for mothers, widows, caregivers, and single women to restore agency and rebuild their lives. The Center ensures that while children receive education and care, women are supported through parallel pathways of recovery, skills development, and economic empowerment.
The Three Zones
Located within GCV’s Educational City, the Women’s Center of Hope is equipped with three designated spaces:
- A dedicated space for personal dignity and psychosocial support. Women are able to access private showers, quiet spaces for rest and reflection, and trauma-informed care designed to support emotional recovery.
- A women-led environment for shared healing and mutual support. This space provides wellness resources and peer connection so that no woman navigates recovery alone.
- A pathway toward economic resilience. Through vocational training and income-generating initiatives, women are supported in rebuilding livelihoods and developing long-term financial independence.
