Educational City

The Educational City is an integrated humanitarian and development model created in response to the collapse of education and healthcare systems in Gaza. It brings together education, healthcare, psychosocial support, and women’s services within a single coordinated environment designed to restore continuity, dignity, and long-term opportunity for children and families.

Rather than operating as separate programs, the Educational City functions as a connected ecosystem where each component reinforces the others, ensuring that learning, healing, and social recovery occur together in one daily setting.

An Integrated System

The Educational City is composed of four core pillars:

• Three Academies of Hope (K–12 education and psychosocial support)
• GCV University (higher education and professional development)
• Women’s Center of Hope (care, recovery, and economic empowerment)
• Pediatric Clinic (primary and preventive healthcare)

Together, these services create a unified environment where children can learn, families can access care, and communities can begin rebuilding stability in daily life.

How the System Works

Children attend school within the Academies of Hope while receiving integrated psychosocial support, nutrition, and healthcare. At the same time, caregivers, particularly women, access dedicated services through the Women’s Center, including recovery spaces, community support, and skills training.

Healthcare services provided through the Pediatric Clinic ensure that medical needs are addressed early, reducing interruptions to education and supporting overall wellbeing.

At the higher education level, GCV University provides pathways for students to continue into professional and academic training, linking childhood education to long-term workforce development.

A Unified Approach to Recovery

By co-locating education, healthcare, and social services within a single ecosystem, the Educational City reduces fragmentation and ensures that support systems reinforce one another. This model is designed to address immediate humanitarian needs while also laying the foundation for long-term recovery, resilience, and opportunity.
