For too long, children in Gaza have faced life threatening delays in care simply because specialized pediatric services were unavailable locally. The Children’s Specialty Hospital was created to change that reality by establishing Gaza’s first dedicated pediatric referral and teaching hospital, ensuring that children can receive advanced care without leaving their community.
The hospital is designed to function not only as a place of treatment, but as a cornerstone of a broader, self sustaining health ecosystem for children and families across Gaza.
Summary
The GCV Children’s Specialty Hospital will be a 150 bed pediatric hospital providing advanced medical and surgical care, intensive care, diagnostics, and rehabilitation services. Operated in coordination with local health authorities and international partners, the hospital will serve as a regional referral center while also strengthening Gaza’s long term pediatric healthcare capacity.
The hospital will operate as a tertiary referral and teaching center, supporting complex pediatric cases from across Gaza. Children will receive care across specialties including cardiology, neurology, surgery, intensive care, and rehabilitation, supported by modern diagnostic imaging and operating facilities.
Through formal partnerships with leading international children’s hospitals, the facility will integrate telemedicine, clinical training, and quality oversight, ensuring care is delivered to international pediatric standards while remaining locally led.
