We know people have important questions about how Gaza Children’s Village operates, how funds are used, and how programs are delivered on the ground. Below are answers to the most common questions we receive.
GCV operates Academies of Hope across central and southern Gaza, including Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis, and Zawaidah, with additional locations planned as funding allows.
Our curriculum is based on the Palestinian Authority framework but has been carefully revised to remove violent or hateful content. It promotes literacy, numeracy, emotional intelligence,
coexistence, and respect, while remaining culturally rooted and academically consistent.
Yes. Every child receives at least one hot, nutritious meal per day at the academy, with additional food provided to support families whenever possible. Meals are prepared locally through partnerships with humanitarian food organizations, specifically with World Central Kitchen.
Yes. GCV operates under US nonprofit compliance, with documented budgets, independent financial oversight, and strict controls on all funds. Donations directly support education, meals, medical care, staffing, and infrastructure.
