Role Purpose

The Volunteer Grant Writer will support fundraising efforts by identifying grant opportunities, drafting compelling proposals, and assisting with reporting requirements. This role plays a critical part in advancing key initiatives including the Academies of Hope, the Children’s Specialty Hospital, and the Women’s Centers of Hope.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with GCV’s mission and programming
Draft, edit, and submit grant proposals and letters of inquiry
Translate program data, budgets, and impact metrics into compelling narratives
Collaborate with leadership to gather required documentation and financial details
Assist with interim and final grant reports where required
Maintain a simple tracker of submissions, deadlines, and outcomes

Ideal Skills and Experience

Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development
Strong written communication and storytelling ability
Ability to translate complex programs into clear impact statements
High attention to detail and comfort working with budgets
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Interest in humanitarian work, child protection, education, or global health
